...since you've heard from us.
But here we are with lots of news to share.
Did you hear that Blind Crow was nominated for an Eddie Award?! Yeah! We are up for the award in the category of Country/Bluegrass Band of the Year. We're beside ourselves with gratitude. It's an honor to be recognized alongside so many other great musicians from the Capital District.
Today, at 8 pm, we play the showcase stage at the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival. The Boston Bluegrass Union hosts the festival each year (for 35 years running!) in honor of Joseph Valiente. Check out the BBU page to learn a little about the man and the event.
Have you been to the Strand Center for the Arts in Plattsburgh, NY? No? Well here a perfect excuse to change all that. On Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 7:30, come see Blind Crow open the show at the Strand for the fabulous Gibson Brothers! I know, I know. We couldn’t be more excited. The Strand is a beautifully renovated 850 seat theater and the Gibson Brothers are just great. We are really excited for a great night of music in a fantastic hall.
We have a few other upcoming gigs - all special in their own right - where it would be great to see you, too. Go check out the shows page for more detail. Here's the summary:
Tomorrow, February 15. Hit the slopes before you warm up by the fire with us at Willard Mountain in Easton, NY. We start around 6:30
Sunday, February 16, join us for brunch at the inimitable Darryl's House in Pawling, NY. Our set time is 12-2. The cocktails and brunch entrees at Darryl's are NO JOKE.
Saturday, February 29, come have a pint at one of our favorite local venues, the Wolf Hollow Brewing Company. Jordan and his crew are always brewing up something tasty.
Can't wait to see you out there.
